Bio

Annmarie O’Connor is a freelance fashion writer  and stylist. Her editorial and styling work appears in The Irish Examiner, The Sunday Times Style, Irish Tatler and Image, along with international publications Elle and Dazed & Confused. She is also editor of the Louis Vuitton City Guide to Dublin 2012.

Over the past years she has reported from the catwalks of London and Paris interviewing fashion figures such as Victoria Beckham, Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson, Manolo Blahnik, Ab Fab’s Jennifer Saunders, supermodel Tyson Beckford and singer-turned-designer Robbie Williams. 2010 saw her international runway styling debut for award-winning Irish designer Joanne Hynes at the Irish Tatler Designer Showcase in Shanghai and again for the designer in 2011 at London Fashion Week. Closer to home, she styles regular customer shows for luxury department stores Harvey Nichols, Brown Thomas and BT2 and is credited in styling animated character Katie Rogers for Des Taylor’s graphic novel series.

On air she is a regular contributor to The Dave Fanning Show, The Ryan Tubridy Show; TV3′s Xposé and RTE’s Today show. She was The Afternoon Show’s resident stylist for two years and the coaches’ stylist on The Voice of Ireland 2014.

She is the writer and presenter behind The Happy Closet - the popular web series on FrockAdvisor.com.

Her online tome I Blog Fashion (www.iblogfashion.blogspot.com) and Fashion Bloggers’ Brunch events led to a cult following, catching the attention of The Sunday Business Post, The Irish Times, The Sunday Independent and Grazia; not to mention a finalist nom in the 2012 Blog Awards Ireland: Best Blog by a Journalist. She has also featured in Image as one Ireland’s Hot Shots (February 2009) and one of Ireland’s 100 Most Inspiring Women (February 2011); on RTE.ie as one of Ireland’s Top 20 Style Stars (May 2012) and in Irish Tatler Business on Ireland’s Power List: 1,000 Women of Influence (January 2013 and July 2014).
